| dc.description.abstract | Les implications de l’analyse de l’écriture collaborative, notamment en ce qui concerne la littérature populaire française du XIXe siècle demeurent peu étudiées. L’écriture à quatre mains reste l’un des grands tabous de l’histoire littéraire : elle a été méprisée comme une pratique laxiste, comme un jeu banal puisqu’elle réunit l’intervention de plusieurs personnes dans un processus créatif, même dans les cas où cette pluralité ne se reflète pas dans la paternité des oeuvres. Loin d’être une procédure inhabituelle, occasionnelle ou marginale, elle a constitué au cours du XIXe siècle une pratique durable et de grande ampleur ayant concerné des écrivains de tous les rangs. Notre but est de mettre en lumière qu’une telle collaboration prend différentes formes d’association, qu’elle créée des mécanismes propres qui la distinguent de l’écriture unipersonnelle et qui méritent d’être pris en compte dans la lecture critique des oeuvres. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The implications of analyzing collaborative writing, particularly with regard to nineteenth-century French popular literature, remain little studied. Writing with four hands remains one of the great taboos of literary history: it has been scorned as a lax practice, as a banal game since it brings together the intervention of several people in a creative process, even in cases where this plurality is not reflected in the authorship of the works. Far from being an unusual, occasional, or marginal procedure, it constituted a stable and far-reaching trend during the nineteenth century, involving writers of all ranks. Our aim is to highlight the fact that such collaboration takes different forms of association, that it creates its own mechanisms that distinguish it from unipersonal writing and that deserve to be taken into account in the critical reading of works. | |
