Presència de Jaume Agelet i Garriga a les revistes literàries del període d'entreguerres
(Pagès Editors, 2008-06) Falguera García, Enric; Macià, Xavier
This article studies how significant the life and work of the poet from Lleida Agelet i Garriga was in the main literary publications in the 20s and 30s. The text starts with a brief biography of the author and a description of the essential characteristics of his work. The article analyzes the reviews that appear in publications such as La Revista, La Nova Revista, Revista de Catalunya or Vida Lleidatana. It also shows how Agelet's work was set as an example of a particular kind of poetry in fashion at that time. The study also enumerates the poems that Agelet published in different magazines during those years so the reader can have a taste of the creative process the poet used since several poems are reproduced and these versions are contrasted with the final versions. This allows the reader to see the way Agelet finishes off his work. Finally, the article shows two poems the poet published, but never collected in a volume.

Les ressenyes crítiques de poesia catalana a les revistes literàries d'entreguerres
(Pagès Editors, 2008-06) Malé i Pegueroles, Jordi
Cultural magazines in general, and literary magazines in particular, have a reviews section where the latest literary works of the time are discussed. The comparative study of these sections (taking the reviews of Catalan poetry as our field) in five literary magazines of the 1920s and 30s (La Mà Trencada, Revista de Poesia, La Nova Revista, Quaderns de Poesia and Rosa dels Vents) allows us to identify several trends (also present in other publications of the time), such as the fact that the majority of reviewers were young writers, or that the review styles were quite varied, ranging from the critical in-depth analysis of a work to the brief comment that only aims to account for the publication of a new book. Of the three functions that one can attribute to these reviews -informative, evaluative and discursive-, the first is the least commonly used, the third is chosen only by those authors who are already engaged in literary criticism and the second, the evaluative, is the most widely chosen by the reviewers.

J.V. Foix, u o divers? Sobre l'evolució (o no) de la poètica foixiana
    (Pagès Editors, 2008-06) Veny-Mesquida, Joan R.
Amongst the writers whose work starts to be published in the first third of the 20th Century, J. V. Foix is probably the one for whom contributions to magazines are most relevant to the understanding of his poetics. That is so as much in terms of the content of his theoretical writings as in their value as a record of his literary evolution. Indeed, the development of his poetic voice coincides with this period and can be seen in the texts that were published at the time. After the war, rather than further development, his work shows a juxtaposition of those voices that had already appeared before the war, which are then expanded and modified by personal experience. This study, therefore, aims to show the protean nature of Foix's post-war work by means of close analysis of the earlier texts included in his Diari 1918 that served as their foundation.
