| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación tiene como objetivo analizar el uso que los hablantes de español como lengua heredada hacen del modo subjuntivo. En concreto, se centra en los estudiantes de quinto y sexto grado que forman parte de la Sección Internacional Española (SIE) en la Escuela Internacional de Naciones Unidas (UNIS, en sus siglas en inglés) de la ciudad de Nueva York. El estudio incluye un marco referencial donde se identifican las características lingüísticas de los hablantes de herencia, se describen conceptos clave relacionados con este campo de estudio y se detallan los usos del modo subjuntivo en lengua española. A partir del análisis de las pruebas externas de competencias básicas realizadas por los escolares, se verificó que la muestra estaba formada por hablantes de herencia y se procedió a examinar una serie de ejercicios especialmente diseñados para el estudio, tanto de tipo oral como escrito, con el propósito de identificar el uso que los informantes hacen del modo subjuntivo. | ca_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This research aims to analyze how Spanish heritage speakers use the subjunctive mode. In particular, the present study focuses on fifth and sixth graders enrolled in the Spanish International Section (SIE is the Spanish acronym) in the United Nations International School of New York. The investigation includes a theoretical framework where the Spanish heritage speakers‘ linguistic characteristics are discussed. Moreover, key concepts related to this field of study are explored as well as the uses of the subjunctive mode in Spanish. After analyzing the students’ Spanish competency-based standardized tests, it was verified that the sample consisted of heritage speakers. Then the results of a series of specifically designed tasks used in the study, both oral and written, are discussed in order to identify how the informants use the subjunctive mode. | ca_ES |
