The Women’s Museum in Denmark isa nationally accredited museum which explores women’s cultural history by linking the historical to the contemporary. The museum started as a grass root movement in the 1980s. Today the museum welcomes you to 1200 square meters of exhibitions. The exhibitions comprise a general history about women’s lives from prehistoric to present time where women are subject in the history, and a general history about the change in childhood with focus on gender. Add to this the museum shows new special exhibitions each year. The museum presents women as strong fighters and women’s work as basic for the development of civilisation but also the dark side of gender abuse. The museum works with European partners and with a global focus.ca_ES
