| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo del presente trabajo es realizar un estudio de los flujos transportados por los ejes que forman las infraestructuras terrestres en España entre 1970 y 1988. Durante este periodo, hemos cuantificado cómo la red principal de carreteras y autopistas se benefició de un trasvase modal del ferrocarril al coche y al camión, alterando los principales ejes de transporte. Utilizando datos oficiales de transporte de pasajeros y mercancías, hemos elaborado una nueva base de datos en formato SIG que ha permitido comparar los ejes que se vieron beneficiados y perjudicados a lo largo del tiempo. Estos datos van a dar pie a estudiar la evolución del peso de las principales localidades conectadas, así como la relación entre el diseño de ambas redes y los flujos de transporte. En particular, se analizará si los corredores donde se ha promovido la competencia entre ferrocarril y carretera han salido reforzados en comparación con aquellos que únicamente han contado con uno de los dos medios de transporte. Es decir, nuestro objetivo es valorar hasta qué punto las políticas económicas en materia de transportes han ejercido una repercusión práctica. El periodo analizado es solo de dieciocho años por motivos de disponibilidad de datos, aunque se sientan aquí las bases para ampliarlo en un futuro. | |
| dc.description.abstract | The objective of this paper is to carry out a study of the flows transported by the axes that form the terrestrial infrastructures in Spain between 1970 and 1988. During this period, we have quantified how the main network of roads and highways benefited from a modal transfer of the railway to the car and the truck, altering the main transport axes. Using official passenger and freight transport data, we have created a new database in GIS format that has made it possible to compare the axes that benefited and declined over time. These data will give rise to studying the evolution of the weight of the main connected localities, as well as the relationship between the design of both networks and transport flows. In particular, it will be analyzed whether the corridors where competition between rail and highway has been promoted have consolidated if we compare them to those that have only had one of the two means of transport. In other words, our objective is to assess the extent to which economic policies in the field of transport have had a practical impact. The period analyzed is only eighteen years for reasons of data availability, although our objective is to extend it in the future. | |
