Resumen
The poster presents a part of the results of the dissertation “ICT use for the development of the socio-educative program ‘Walking family’” (Balsells et.al, 2015). The dissertation is carried out within an investigation project in which the program is implemented and evaluated. “Walking family” pretends to improve the resilience of families who experience a process of foster care and reunification going through different phases of resilience: survival, adaptation, acceptance, growing stronger, and helping others (Lietz & Strength, 2011). The methods and contents of the program are clearly innovative for their approach based on resilience. In order to achieve these goals, it is essential to train appropriately the professionals and to support them over the implementation of the program. A Virtual Environment (VE) is used as a media to improve the collaborative work and knowledge between researchers, who have developed the program, and the professionals who implement the program with families. The VE includes a Moodle Platform with a forum and other specific tools, an online tool for evaluation questionnaires, QR codes, digital material, an informative website, the e-mail and the telephone. In this sense, the aim of this study is to evaluate the VE as a group of tools for the training, the communication and the evaluation of the program. A questionnaire, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) (Davis, 1989), is carried out to evaluate the perceived usefulness and the perception of utility of the tools in the VE. The sample is composed by 20 professionals, including social workers, psychologists and pedagogues, who have implemented the program with families with the support of the research team through the VE. The main findings show if these tools might be a good resource, or what might be improved, to consider them in the support of professionals in their practices for increasing the resilience of the families in the Child Welfare System. Moreover, it is expected to take into account these results in other fields or with other type of users to support the implementation of educative interventions and, especially, focusing on the professional role.
