Building a Mobile Robot for a Floor-Cleaning Operation in Domestic Environments
MetadataShow full item record
Domestic robots are one of the new industrial challenges. In this paper, a floor-cleaning robot specifically designed for this function is proposed. Aspects such as sensor placement, motor control, robot control, and safety are considered toward an optimal implementation of this helpful robot.

Modeling floor-cleaning coverage performances of some domestic mobile robots in a reduced scenario Pallejà Cabrè, Tomàs; Tresánchez Ribes, Marcel; Teixidó Cairol, Mercè; Palacín Roca, Jordi (Elsevier, 2010)In this paper, floor-cleaning coverage performances of some domestic mobile robots are measured, analyzed and modeled. Results obtained in a reduced scenario show that floor-cleaning coverage is complete in all cases if ...
Palacín Roca, Jordi; Valgañón, Ignasi; Pernia, R. (Elsevier, 2006)In this work the optical mouse is proposed for indoor odometry measurement in mobile robot applications. The optical mouse is a very low-cost sensor and has the advantage that the measured displacement is independent from ...
