There is a lack of an objective method for quantifying equine skull profile. This study proposes a method based on a previous publication by Evans and McGreevy (2006). This method is valid for using on both living and deceased horses and it allows obtaining different cephalic profile areas, which have an important value in animal ethnology. As an example of this methodology, we introduce the values obtained in vivo from some males and females belonging to the Agrupació Hipermètrica Pirinenca equine breed.
