Cultivos y producción agrícola en época ibérica

This paper is composed by two parts. The first one concerns the crops knolVn archaeobotanical/y and their importance in the /berian agricultural system. The second is dedicated to meditate about the agricultural production and íts yields. The cereals, specially the hulled barley and the naked IVheats are the most important cultivated plants during the /berían periodo Whereas pulses are in a lower level, their taxolJomical variety is similm: On the other hand, the vine appears as afundamelllal crop, mainly since the 4th century Be. Despite many problems related to the quantification of the /berian agriC/llture (measure of the yields, scale, validity of the historical data, quantification, extrapolation ... ) we try also to make an hypothetical approach to the cereal production in the /berian períod focl/sed on the Western Catalonia area.
